Product Description

This Klein Tools cable cutter comes with a single unit. It's been rigorously tested to surpass the IEC 60900 and ASTM F1505 standards for insulated tools and clearly marked with the official 1000-volt rating symbol. With two layers of insulation, it offers reliable protection against electric shock. The thick, tough, high-dielectric white inner coating is firmly bonded to the tool, while the flame-retardant, impact-resistant bright orange outer coating adds durability. Integral guards prevent hand contact with conductive parts. Its high-leverage design ensures excellent cutting ability, and the cable-gripping shear-type jaws work great. The precision one-hand shearing action is ideal for tight spaces. Remember, don't use it to cut steel or ACSR. It can cut 4/0 Aluminum, 2/0 Soft Copper, and 100-Pair 24 AWG Communications Cable. The handle is made of high-dielectric plastic, dipped in plastic, and is orange in color. It has a hot-riveted joint and meets the IEC 60900 and ASTM F1505 standards. Measuring 9.625' (24.5 cm) in length and weighing 1.0 lb (0.5 kg), it's a great tool for cutting cables with a risk of electrical shock, offering 1000-volt protection and easy one-handed operation.

Using this Klein Tools cable cutter is easy. When you need to cut cables where there's a risk of electric shock, just grab the tool by its orange plastic-dipped handle. The one-hand shearing action allows you to operate it smoothly, even in tight spaces. Place the cable between the cable-gripping shear-type jaws and use the high-leverage design to make the cut. However, make sure not to use it on steel or ACSR. As for maintenance, keep the tool clean and dry. After use, wipe it down to remove any debris. Check the insulation regularly for any signs of damage. If you notice any issues with the insulation or the tool itself, stop using it immediately and get it checked or replaced. This way, you can keep the cable cutter in good condition and use it safely for a long time.
