Product Description

This Klein battery-operated cutter/crimper is a game - changer for linemen. It comes with (1) cutter/crimper and (1) tool bag. It can cut and crimp copper, aluminum, and ACSR cables. With 7 - ton hydraulic force, it cuts larger cables faster than most market models, offering 15% more power than standard 6 - ton tools. It's compatible with industry - standard W - style dies from all brands. Two work lights brighten up dark work areas, and a green light shows a good crimp. Powered by DeWALT 20V lithium - ion batteries, it's a tool - only unit. The cutter/crimper measures 26' (660.4 mm) in length, 12' (304.8 mm) in height, and 6' (152.4 mm) in width, and weighs 7.15 lb (3.24 kg). It's made of ABS, PA6, GF20%, and TPE materials. You can alternate between 6 heads (sold separately) based on your job needs, making your work more efficient and reducing time and effort on the job.

Using your Klein BAT20 - 7T cutter/crimper is easy. First, make sure you've inserted a fully - charged DeWALT 20V lithium - ion battery. Then, select the appropriate head (sold separately) according to the cable type and job requirements. Place the cable in the cutter/crimper and activate the tool. The work lights will help you see in dark areas, and the green light will let you know if the crimp is good. When using the tool, always wear appropriate safety gear like gloves and goggles. Don't try to cut or crimp cables that exceed the tool's capacity. After each use, wipe the tool clean with a dry cloth to remove any dirt or debris. Store the tool in the provided tool bag in a dry place. Periodically check the battery contacts for any signs of corrosion and clean them if necessary. Also, keep an eye on the hydraulic system and if you notice any leaks or reduced performance, contact a professional for maintenance.
