Using the Makita XAD06Z drill is easy. First, make sure you have a compatible 18V LXT Lithium - Ion battery with the star symbol (sold separately). Insert the battery into the drill. Select the appropriate drill bit for your task, like a hole saw for larger holes or a self - feed bit. Adjust the speed according to your needs, with options of 0 - 450 RPM or 0 - 1,400 RPM. When drilling, hold the drill firmly with the side handle, which can be attached to either side for right - or left - handed use. Keep the work area well - lit with the L.E.D lights. After use, turn off the drill and remove the battery. Store the drill in a dry place. Clean the drill regularly, especially the chuck area, to keep it in good condition.
