Using your Makita XOB03Z sander is easy. First, make sure you have a fully charged 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion battery with a Star symbol (battery sold separately). Insert the battery into the sander. You can select the speed you need using the one - touch electronic speed control button. There are three speed settings: 4,000, 8,000, and 12,000 OPM, depending on the material you're sanding. For a smoother finish, start with a lower speed. To change the sandpaper, use the quick change clamp. It allows you to install new sandpaper quickly. If you have the optional dust extractor and the Auto - start Wireless Transmitter (part no. 198901 - 5, sold separately), you can connect them to the sander via Bluetooth for wireless start/stop. This helps keep your workspace clean. When using the sander, hold it firmly with the ergonomic grip to ensure comfort and control. After use, turn off the sander and remove the battery. Clean the sander regularly to keep it in good condition. Use a brush to remove dust from the motor and other parts. Store the sander in a dry place.
