Using the DeWalt DCS438E1 is straightforward. First, charge the 20V MAX DEWALT POWERSTACK™ Compact Battery using the included charger. Once charged, insert it into the tool. You can choose the appropriate wheel for your material - the Bonded Abrasive Wheel for general cutting, the Diamond Multi - Material Wheel for a wider range of materials, or the Diamond Tile Wheel for tiles. Changing the wheel is easy; just use the onboard storage and spindle lock, no need for a hex wrench. When cutting, you can adjust the direction of the cut using the forward and reverse functions. The LED light helps you see in dark areas. For dust control, attach the dust shroud with the AirLock connection to a DEWALT extractor (sold separately). You can also set the desired depth of cut using the tool - free depth adjustment. And if you're cutting metal, you can quickly adjust the spark direction with the tool - free adjustable guard. As for maintenance, after each use, clean the tool to remove any dust or debris. Check the wheels regularly for wear and tear, and replace them when necessary. Store the tool in the provided contractor bag to protect it from damage. Remember, the chip for the TOOL CONNECT System and the lanyard are sold separately if you want to use the tracking and drop - protection features.
