Using the Greenlee ESG50LX11 cable cutter is easy. First, make sure the battery is fully charged or connect the corded adapter if you're using one. Place the copper or aluminum power cable within the 50mm cutting range into the jaw of the cutter. Press the single trigger to start the cutting process. You can use the retraction stop feature by simply tapping the trigger to halt the ram retraction at any point and start the next cut from there. The LED light will show you the battery charge and tool maintenance status. When the cutting cycle is done, the tool will automatically retract. Make sure to operate the tool within the recommended temperature range of 5°F to 122°F. For maintenance, keep the tool clean and dry. Since it uses biodegradable oil, there's less environmental impact. The smart charger helps maximize the battery life, so always use it for charging. If you notice any issues, check the LED display for diagnostics through the Greenlee Gator Eye app.
