Place your lumber on the jointer table and push it through the cutterhead. For planing, switch the function without removing the fence. Adjust the planer table using the large handwheel for the right depth. Remember, the motor is powerful, but always start with small cuts. Also, make sure the dust collection system with a 4 - inch dust port is connected and working, as it needs at least 400 CFM to collect dust effectively. For maintenance, clean the machine regularly.
