Using your Makita 9/16 (14mm) Round Punch is a breeze. First, make sure you have the compatible 9/16 (14mm) Round Die (sold separately). Attach the punch to your Makita Cordless Metal Hole Punch model XPP01. It installs quickly, so you'll be ready to go in no time. When you're punching holes, select the appropriate metal plate. This punch can handle general steel plates between 5/64” (2 mm) and 5/32” (4 mm) thick, and stainless - steel plates between 1/8” (3 mm) and 5/32” (4 mm) thick. Just place the plate where you want the hole, and operate the punch according to the XPP01's instructions. As for maintenance, after each use, wipe the punch clean to remove any metal shavings. Store it in a dry place to prevent rust. Also, regularly check the punch for any signs of wear and tear. If you notice any damage, replace the punch immediately for safe and efficient operation.
