Makita, a leader in brushless motor and battery tech, presents the 18V X2 LXT® (36V) Lithium-Ion Brushless 7-1/4 In. circular saw (XSH07ZU, tool only). Powered by two 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries, it offers top performance. The electronically-controlled BL™ Brushless Motor adjusts torque and RPM for the task. With Makita 18V X2, you can ditch the cord even for tough jobs like cutting sheet and dimensional lumber. You can use the same fast-charging 18V batteries across the Makita 18V LXT® cordless tool system. The XSH07ZU has many features for cordless cutting. The Brushless Motor hits 6,000 RPM for efficient cutting, and the Automatic Speed Change™ tech adjusts speed and torque under load. Using two fully-charged 5.0 Ah batteries, it can make up to 610 cross-cuts per charge in 2 x 4 SPF lumber and up to 320 in 2 x 10 SPF lumber. It has a 2-5/8 In. cutting capacity at 90 degrees and an electric brake for high productivity. The die-cast magnesium base, blade guard, and cover offer durability and light weight (just 10.5 lbs. with batteries, sold separately). There's also a built-in dust blower and a tether notch (tether sold separately). The XSH07ZU can work with the AWS™ system when paired with the auto-start wireless transmitter (part no. 198901-5, sold separately). AWS™ uses Bluetooth™ for wireless power control with an AWS-equipped dust extractor (sold separately), eliminating cords and reducing noise. Included in the package are a 7-1/4' 24T C.T. circular saw blade (B-61656), a wrench (783204-6), and a dust extracting attachment (196520-1).
Using the Makita XSH07ZU circular saw is easy. First, make sure you have two fully-charged 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries. Insert them into the saw. Before starting, check the blade and make sure it's properly installed. You can use the on-board blade wrench for convenience. When cutting, hold the saw firmly with the rubberized soft grip handle. The saw has an electric brake, so it stops quickly after you release the trigger. For best results, use the Automatic Speed Change™ technology which adjusts the cutting speed and torque during the cut. When using the AWS™ system, attach the auto-start wireless transmitter (sold separately) and pair it with an AWS-equipped dust extractor (sold separately). This will make your work cleaner and quieter. As for maintenance, keep the saw clean after each use. Wipe off any dust or debris. The saw has Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™), but it's still a good idea to avoid using it in extremely wet or dusty conditions. Check the blade regularly for wear and replace it when needed. Also, keep an eye on the battery charge levels using the 3-stage L.E.D. gauges. And always store the saw in a dry and safe place.
