Using this Makita hedge trimmer is easy. First, make sure you have two 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries (not included) and insert them properly. Turn on the trimmer and use the 6-speed dial to set the right speed for your trimming job. Hold the trimmer with both hands, engaging the trigger and front handle to start cutting. For vertical or angle trimming, adjust the 5-position rotating rear handle to a comfortable position. When you're done, release the trigger, and the electric brake will stop the blade quickly. Remember to wear safety gear like gloves and goggles. Don't use the trimmer in wet conditions. Always keep the blade tip guard on to prevent unnecessary wear.
