Makita, a leader in brushless motor and battery technology, presents the 18V X2 LXT® (36V) Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless ½' Right Angle Drill. This drill is powered by two 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries, offering maximum power, speed, and runtime without the hassle of cords. The electronically-controlled BL™ Brushless motor adjusts torque and RPM according to the task, ensuring top-notch performance. With the XAD03, you can handle tough jobs like drilling up to 6-1/4' holes with hole saws and 4-5/8' holes with self-feed bits. The best part is, it uses the same fast-charging 18V batteries as the rest of the Makita 18V LXT® cordless system, keeping you in one battery platform. The XAD03 comes with a host of features for fast and efficient drilling. The combination of the Makita BL™ Brushless Motor and X2 LXT® technology delivers no-load drilling speeds of 0-350 RPM and 0-1,400 RPM. The Automatic Speed Change™ technology adjusts speed and torque under load for optimal results. It also has an electric brake for high productivity and a built-in clutch that protects gears by disengaging them if the bit binds (low speed only). When using two 18V 5.0Ah batteries and a self-feed bit (bit sold separately), the XAD03 can drill up to 160 2-9/16' holes per charge in 2x SPF. The kit includes (2) 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah Batteries (BL1850B), (2) 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Dual Port Chargers (DC18RD), a Tool Bag (831271-6), a Side Handle (126802-7), a Wrench (783204-6), a Drill Chuck (763250-5), and a Chuck Key (763251-3).

Using the Makita XAD03PT is easy. First, insert the two 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah batteries into the drill. Make sure they are fully charged for the best performance. Then, choose the right drill bit for your task. You can use hole saws for larger holes or self-feed bits for specific jobs. Turn on the drill and start drilling. The drill has a variable 2 - speed design (0 - 350 RPM and 0 - 1400 RPM), so you can select the appropriate speed for different materials and tasks. When drilling, the Automatic Speed Change™ technology will adjust the speed and torque for you. There's also an electric brake that stops the drill quickly when you release the trigger, which is great for safety and efficiency. For safety, always wear appropriate protective gear like safety glasses and gloves. Avoid using the drill in wet or damp conditions. If the bit binds during drilling, especially at low speed, the built - in clutch will disengage the gears to prevent damage. To maintain your drill, keep it clean. After use, wipe off any dust or debris. Store the drill in a dry place. Charge the batteries regularly, but don't overcharge them. If you're not using the drill for a long time, remove the batteries. Also, check the drill chuck regularly to make sure it's tight and in good condition. The chuck key is included with convenient on - tool storage for easy access when needed.
