Product Description

The Ideal 61-955 SureTrace Circuit Tracer Kit is a top - notch tool for electrical circuit tracing. This kit includes: (1) TR - 955 Transmitter, which can test energized circuits up to 600V AC/DC and de - energized circuits. It injects a strong signal into the circuit, works on GFCI protected circuits, indicates the presence of AC/DC voltage, has a low - battery indicator, and comes with four AA batteries. (1) RC - 955 Receiver features a red LED display with a rotating function (in 180º increments). It shows 0 - 99 numeric signal strength, has four sensitivity modes, CertainCircuit™ detection, a peak - detecting bar graph, audible indication (pitch/tone), and displays the remaining battery life. It is supplied with three AA batteries. Also included are (1) TL - 956 Tracer Test Lead Set, (1) C - 955 Hard Case, batteries, and an instruction manual. With this kit, you can accurately trace electrical circuits with ease.

Using the Ideal 61 - 955 SureTrace Circuit Tracer Kit is straightforward. First, turn on the TR - 955 Transmitter. If you're testing an energized circuit up to 600V AC/DC, connect the transmitter to the circuit. For de - energized circuits, it also works well. The transmitter will inject a strong signal into the circuit. Then, turn on the RC - 955 Receiver. Move the receiver along the possible path of the circuit. The red LED display will show the signal strength numerically from 0 - 99. You can adjust the sensitivity mode according to your needs. When the receiver detects the circuit, you'll hear an audible indication. As for maintenance, check the battery levels regularly. Replace the AA batteries in the transmitter and receiver when the low - battery indicators show. Keep the kit in the C - 955 Hard Case when not in use to protect it from damage. Make sure to follow the instructions in the manual for more detailed and safe operation.
