Using the Makita XAG16Z is easy. First, make sure you have a fully - charged 18V LXT® Lithium - Ion battery (sold separately). Insert the battery into the tool. Then, select the appropriate wheel for your task from the included accessories and attach it using the lock nut wrench. You can adjust the speed using the variable speed control dial based on the material you're working on. To start the grinder, use the slide switch. You can lock it on for continuous operation if needed. When you're done, release the switch, and the electric brake will stop the wheel in 2 seconds or less. As for safety, always wear proper protective gear like goggles and gloves. Don't use the grinder if the wheel is damaged. Avoid using it in wet conditions unless it's absolutely necessary, as the XPT™ technology helps with dust and water resistance but it's not fully waterproof. For maintenance, keep the wire mesh intake covers clean to prevent debris from entering the motor. After each use, check the tool for any loose parts. Charge the battery as recommended by the manufacturer to ensure the best performance and a long lifespan for both the battery and the tool.
