Using the Milwaukee M18 5" Random Orbit Sander is easy. First, insert the battery into the sander. You can use different batteries like the 3.0Ah or 9.0Ah one (if you use a 9.0Ah battery, attach the extension adapter). Then, choose the right sandpaper grit for your job. You can easily change the sandpaper as the sander has a quick - change hook - and - loop sanding pad. Next, adjust the speed dial according to your needs. If you're working on a delicate surface, set it to a lower speed; for tougher jobs, go for a higher speed. When using the sander, move it smoothly over the surface. Make sure to keep the sander flat to get an even finish. There's a dust canister with a filter to collect the dust. You can also connect a hose using the universal hose adapter for better dust collection. After use, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Clean the dust canister and filter regularly to keep the sander working well. If the sander isn't working properly, check the battery charge and make sure all parts are properly attached.
