Product Description

Round standard metal punch units are all - in - one sets that include a punch, a die, and a draw stud. They're compatible with battery - powered, hydraulic, ratchet, or manual drivers. Once properly assembled through pilot holes, these units create clean, quick, and precise holes. The hole size is 1 - 1/8 inches (28.6 mm). The punch unit is made up of a 91AV punch, a 92AV die, and a 00042 draw stud. Specifications: It can handle mild steel up to 10 gauge (3.5 mm). Ideal for punching mild steel, aluminum, fiberglass, and plastic. You can operate it with various drivers. When using battery - powered, hydraulic, or ratchet drivers, you only need to buy the punch and die as the draw stud comes with the driver kit. Hole sizes include conduit sizes (outside diameter of US conduit sizes, e.g., a 1/2 - inch conduit size punch makes a 7/8 - inch hole), Pg sizes (European standard pipe sizes), and ISO sizes (International Standards Organization pipe sizes).

Using this Greenlee punch unit is quite easy. First, make sure you have the right driver - it can be battery - powered, hydraulic, ratchet, or manual. If you're using a battery - powered, hydraulic, or ratchet driver, you don't need to worry about the draw stud as it's part of the driver kit. Just buy the punch and die. Assemble the punch unit through the pilot holes on your material. Then start the driver and it will make clean and accurate holes. When using, be careful not to exceed the capacity of mild steel up to 10 gauge (3.5 mm). Don't try to punch materials that the unit isn't designed for. For maintenance, after each use, clean the punch, die, and draw stud. You can use a clean cloth to wipe off any debris. Store the unit in a dry place to prevent rusting. This way, your punch unit will last a long time and keep performing well.
