Using the Greenlee 61/62PTS-1-1/4 wood boring bit is easy. First, make sure you have a minimum 1/2-inch electric drill. The self-feeding screw point will draw the bit through the wood for you, so just guide it gently. This bit is great for tight spaces, but remember it can also go through three abutting 2x4s. When you're done using it, clean the bit with a dry cloth to remove any wood chips or debris. Store it in a dry place to prevent rust. Since it's made of super-tough, heat-treated steel, it can cut through nails, but try to avoid hitting large metal objects to keep the cutting edge in good condition.
