Using the Makita XSH06Z circular saw is easy. First, make sure you have two fully-charged 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries. Insert them into the saw to power it up. When you're ready to cut, hold the saw firmly with the rubberized soft grip handle. The 3-stage L.E.D. gauges will show you the battery charge levels. Line up the blade with the cutting mark, and the built-in dust blower will keep the line clear for better accuracy. You can adjust the cutting angle from 0° to 56° with positive stops at 22.5°, 45°, and 56°. The electric brake will quickly stop the blade when you're done cutting, which saves time. When it comes to maintenance, keep the saw clean. After each use, wipe off any dust or debris. You can use the dust extracting attachment to help with this. The die-cast magnesium base and blade guard, along with the die-cast aluminum blade cover and motor housing, are durable, but avoid hitting the saw against hard objects. The on-board blade wrench makes it convenient to change the blade. When changing the blade, make sure the saw is turned off and the blade has completely stopped.
