Product Description

The Greenlee HK12ID hand hydraulic dieless crimping tool revolutionizes the crimping process. Dieless tools make crimping color-coded lugs and splices a breeze. You don't have to worry about selecting and installing dies. With this tool, you'll never face the problem of leaving the needed dies in the truck or, even worse, at the warehouse. Now, Greenlee combines the ease of dieless crimping with hand hydraulic power in the new HK12ID. This tool is a replacement for the Greenlee 1990. Included in the package are a crimping tool and a molded carrying case. The HK12ID features a dieless indent style crimping head that doesn't need interchangeable dies. The crimping head can rotate 350° to reach tight spots. Its flip-open style design easily accommodates large lugs and splices. A two-speed pump ensures a rapid crimping cycle. The lightweight yet strong fiberglass handles add to the user-friendliness. It is UL and cUL classified with connectors from Anderson, Burndy, Blackburn, Ilsco, Panduit, Penn-Union, Thomas & Betts, and Tyco. The overall length is 26' (657mm), and the crimping head width is 4-3/8' (111mm). It can crimp copper color-coded lugs and splices from 4 AWG to 1000 kcmil and aluminum ones from 6 AWG to 1000 kcmil.

Using the Greenlee HK12ID hand hydraulic dieless crimping tool is easy. First, make sure you have the right color-coded lug or splice for your job. Then, place it in the crimping head. Since it's dieless, you don't need to select any dies. The crimping head can rotate 350°, so you can adjust it to get into tight spots. If you're dealing with large lugs or splices, use the flip-open style design to easily position them. Start the crimping process with the two-speed pump for a rapid cycle. When using the tool, always follow safety guidelines. Keep your hands away from the moving parts. Store the tool in the provided molded carrying case when not in use. For maintenance, regularly check the fiberglass handles for any signs of damage. Clean the crimping head after each use to ensure smooth operation. This will help keep your tool in good condition for a long time.
