Product Description

These Klein Tools test leads come with heavy-duty alligator clips and are ideal as replacement leads for meters with banana-type input jacks. Included is (1) pair of universal test leads that connect banana plugs to heavy-duty alligator clips. Their standard banana-type inputs work well with most multimeters and clamp meters. The heavy-duty alligator clips can easily attach to wires and other conductors, making them perfect for insulation resistance testing. The leads are 3 feet (0.91 m) long and made of 18 AWG double-insulated wire. They have a CAT III 1000V/CAT IV 600V safety rating and are designed by electricians for electricians. The set also includes 1 pair of universal right-angle test leads. With overall dimensions of 120'' in length, 3'' in width, and 1.75'' in height, the housing is made of PVC, the clips are Ni-plated iron, and the plugs are copper. They feature 90-degree angled leads and can be used with Klein Tools meters or any brand of multimeter or clamp meter that requires test leads.

Using these Klein test leads is easy. First, check that your meter has banana - type input jacks. Then, insert the banana plugs of the test leads into the input jacks of your meter. Next, use the heavy - duty alligator clips to attach to the wires or conductors you want to test. This is great for insulation resistance testing. When using, make sure not to exceed the CAT III 1000V/CAT IV 600V safety rating. Avoid using the leads in wet or extremely hot environments. After use, store the test leads in a dry and cool place. If the alligator clips get dirty, you can gently clean them with a dry cloth. Keep the test leads away from sharp objects to prevent damage to the wire insulation.
