Product Description
Lasers are commonly used in the early construction phases, and measurement needs vary according to application requirements. The Makita 12V max CXT® Lithium-Ion self-leveling cross-line green beam laser (SK105GDNAX) offers a cordless option for selectable horizontal and vertical cross reference lines in leveling, aligning, and plumbing tasks. Depending on the ambient light, the SK105GDNAX has a line visibility of up to 115 Ft. and can be detected up to 262 Ft. with a Makita laser detector (sold separately). It features a bright 525 nm class II green laser with an accuracy of +/- 1/8 In. at 33 Ft., providing top-notch precision. The laser line fan extends beyond 90 degrees, offering 180-degree horizontal and 160-degree vertical lines for comprehensive reference. For better efficiency, it self-levels in just 3 seconds, boosting productivity. All 12V max CXT® cordless tools are compatible with the 12V max CXT® Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah battery (BL1041B), which has a battery protection circuit to prevent overloading, over-discharging, and over-heating. It's part of the growing 12V max CXT® series, combining high performance with great ergonomics in a compact size. The kit includes a 12V max CXT® Self-Leveling Cross-Line Green Beam Laser (SK105GDZ), a 12V max CXT® Lithium-Ion 2.0Ah Battery (BL1021B), an 18V LXT® / 12V max CXT® Lithium-Ion Rapid Optimum Charger (DC18RE), a Magnetic L-Adapter (LE00870131), a Magnetic Green Target Plate (LE00823195), and a Laser Kit Bag (832173-9). Key features include selectable cross reference lines, up to 20 hours of continuous run time with a 12V max CXT™ battery, wide visibility range, high accuracy, full reference line coverage, fast self-leveling, pendulum lock for slope applications, self-leveling on uneven surfaces up to 4º, IP 54 dust and water resistance, protected laser windows, and a rubberized housing for added protection.
Using the Makita SK105GDNAX is easy. First, insert the 12V max CXT® Lithium-Ion battery into the laser. Then, turn it on. You can select the horizontal or vertical cross reference lines according to your task. Place the laser on a stable surface, and it will self-level in about 3 seconds. If you're working in a large area, use the Makita laser detector (sold separately) to extend the detection range. When using on uneven surfaces, remember the self-leveling works up to a 4º slope. During transport and storage, engage the pendulum lock to protect the laser diode. Keep the laser clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. If it gets dirty, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it. Check the battery regularly and charge it with the provided charger when needed. With proper use and maintenance, your Makita SK105GDNAX will serve you well for a long time.
