Using the Greenlee CS - 5000 is a breeze. First, take the transmitter and receiver out of the carrying case. If you're working on a de - energized circuit, no power is needed. For live circuits, the device won't disrupt the service. Connect the appropriate accessories like alligator clips, AC blade or plug adapter as required. The Auto Gain Option helps you quickly find the target breaker. Just turn on the device and let it do its job. When using it, keep in mind that the operating temperature is between 32 ºF and 122 ºF. Don't expose it to extreme conditions. After use, turn off the device. The transmitter will auto - power off after 4 hours and the receiver after 30 minutes without a signal. To maintain it, keep it clean and dry. Store it in the carrying case when not in use to protect it from damage.
