Using the Greenlee TL - AST - M TILT - II Transformer Tester is a breeze. First, make sure the transformer is de - energized. Then, attach the test leads to the appropriate primary or secondary sides of the transformer. Thanks to the magnet mount, you can keep the tester in place for hands - free operation. Press the single button, and the tester will start working. Bright LEDs will show you the test results, and a buzzer will confirm if the test is successful. When you're done, just remove the test leads. As for maintenance, regularly check the battery. You can easily replace the 9V battery in the field. Keep the tester in the padded carrying bag when not in use to protect it. Also, make sure to use it within the temperature range of - 20°F to + 140°F (- 29°C to + 60°C) to ensure accurate results. Avoid using it in wet or extremely dusty environments.
