Lasers play a crucial role in the early construction stages, and measurement needs vary according to different applications. The Makita 12V max CXT® Self-Leveling 360° 3-Plane Green Laser (SK700D, tool only) offers a cordless solution for job site layout. With three 360° laser planes - one horizontal and two vertical - it provides 6 cross-point reference positions for leveling, alignment, plumbing, and squaring. This laser can self-level on slopes up to 4 degrees, enabling operation on uneven surfaces. The green laser line is visible up to 115 feet and can be detected up to 230 feet with a Makita Laser Detector (sold separately). It runs continuously for up to 14 hours with a 12V max CXT 4.0Ah Battery (sold separately). The sharp laser line has an accuracy of +/-1/16” at 33 feet, which is best-in-class. It achieves self-leveling line stability in just 3 seconds, boosting productivity. The 360° rotating base allows for fine vertical line adjustment and a precise plumb point position. With an IP54 rating, it's dust and water-resistant. The recessed laser windows enhance durability. The 12V max CXT® power tools are compact yet high-performing, with an ergonomic design for easy handling and better balance. The CXT® System offers a compact solution with great comfort and capacity. Included is a Magnetic Green Target Plate (LE00823195).

Using the Makita SK700GD is easy. First, make sure you have a charged 12V max CXT 4.0Ah Battery (sold separately) installed. Turn on the laser using the simplified two - button user interface. For best results, place the laser on a stable surface. If the surface is uneven, the self - leveling feature can correct slopes up to 4 degrees. Use the 360° rotating base and the fine vertical line adjustment knob to get the precise position you need. You can use the multi - function magnetic bracket to attach the laser to metal, wood surfaces, or tripods. When using the laser outdoors or in low - light conditions, you may need the Makita Laser Detector (sold separately) as the laser is detectable up to 230 feet with it. Remember to turn off the laser when not in use to conserve battery power. You can also use the low laser brightness modes to extend the battery life. During transport and storage, use the integrated pendulum lock. This not only allows for slope incline applications but also protects the laser. Keep the laser clean and dry. If it gets dirty, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it. The IP54 rating means it's dust and water - resistant, but try to avoid exposing it to excessive dust or water for long periods. The battery has a protection circuit to prevent overloading, over - discharging, and over - heating, but don't leave it charging for too long. And for efficient organization and protection, you can get the Makita interlocking stackable cases (sold separately).
