Using the Greenlee 645-1-1/8 hole cutter is a breeze. First, make sure you have the 645-011 arbor, which is sold separately. Insert the cutter into a drill with a chuck size of at least 3/8' (9.5 mm). When changing cutter heads, just give a simple push and turn using the Quick Change arbor. You can use the same arbor for different size cutter heads from 5/8' to 3'. Before drilling, double - check that the flange stop is in place to avoid over - drilling. For sizes above 3/4', the ejector spring will help you easily remove the slug. Also, if the pilot drill gets worn out, it's replaceable. Just make sure to replace it with a cobalt - steel pilot drill with a split - point tip to prevent the drill from walking. As for maintenance, keep the cutter clean after each use.
