Using the Greenlee 645-2 hole cutter is easy. First, make sure you have the 645-011 arbor (it's sold separately). Attach the arbor to your drill, then pick the right cutter head for your job - you can choose from sizes 5/8' through 3'. Just push and turn to change the cutter head on the arbor. When you're ready to drill, place the cutter on the stainless - steel surface. The split - point tip of the pilot drill will keep it from walking around. Start drilling, and the flange stop will prevent you from drilling too deep. Once you're done, if you're using a size above 3/4', the ejector spring will help you remove the slug easily. As for maintenance, after each use, clean the cutter head and the arbor with a clean cloth. Check the carbide teeth regularly for any signs of wear. If the pilot drill gets dull, replace it. Store the cutter in a dry place to prevent rusting. Remember, always use a drill with a chuck size of at least 3/8' (9.5 mm) for best results.
