Using the Ideal 36 - 302 TKO hole cutter is easy. First, select the right size for your job. The cutter comes in sizes from 1' to 2 - 1/2'. When you start cutting, the SmoothStart pilot drill will gradually guide the cutter to the material, so just let it do its job to avoid damaging the carbide. It's great for cutting sheet metal, even stainless steel. Make sure to place the cutter on the sheet metal and start the drilling process. The over drill flange will prevent the cutter from going through the sheet, so you don't have to worry about that. As for maintenance, after each use, clean the cutter to remove any metal shavings. Keep it in a dry place to prevent rust. If the carbide teeth start to dull, it might be time to replace the cutter.
