Using your Jet JT9 - 70412 parallel clamp is a breeze. First, decide whether you're using it for clamping or spreading. If you're clamping, open the jaws to the desired width using the Slide - Glide trigger for quick and easy adjustment. You can use the Precision - Rule™ measurement system to get the right opening. When you've got the right width, turn the Acme threaded handle to apply pressure. For spreading, simply reverse the movable jaw. Remember, don't exceed the 1,000 lbs of pressure limit as it could damage the clamp. Also, avoid using it in extremely wet or corrosive environments. To maintain your clamp, clean the jaw faces after each use to keep them glue - free. You can use a dry cloth. If there's stubborn glue, a little bit of mild solvent can be used. Keep the moving parts lubricated to ensure smooth operation. Store it in a dry place when not in use.
