Using this Makita round die is easy. First, make sure you have the Makita 18V LXT Cordless Metal Hole Punch model XPP01 (sold separately). Then, install the 9/16 (14mm) round die quickly and easily. You can start punching holes in general steel or stainless steel. Just ensure the metal plate thickness is within the specified range - 5/64 (2mm) to 5/32 (4mm) for general steel and 1/8 (3mm) to 5/32 (4mm) for stainless steel. When it comes to maintenance, after each use, clean the die to remove any metal shavings. Store it in a dry place to prevent rust. Also, always double - check that the round punch is the correct 9/16 (14mm) size before using the die.
