Using the Makita 12V max CXT Self-Leveling 360° 3-Plane Green Laser Kit is easy. First, charge the 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion battery using the included charger. Then, install the battery into the laser. You can use the simplified two - button user interface to turn on the laser and select the mode you need. Place the laser on a stable surface. If the surface is uneven, the self - leveling feature will correct slopes up to 4 degrees. You can use the 360° rotating base to adjust the vertical line and set the plumb point position. For longer working distances, you can use a Makita Laser Detector (sold separately). When not in use, turn off the laser. Keep it in the interlocking case for protection. Remember to charge the battery regularly to ensure it's ready for the next use. Also, avoid exposing the laser to extreme heat, cold, or moisture. Clean the laser with a soft, dry cloth.
