Using the Makita 18V LXT® 2 - Piece Combo Kit is easy. First, charge the 18V LXT® 5.0Ah batteries using the included charger. It takes about 45 minutes to fully charge. Once the batteries are charged, insert them into the tools. For the hammer driver - drill, choose the appropriate speed setting (0 - 550 or 0 - 2,100 RPM) depending on your task. When using it for hammer drilling, it can quickly penetrate masonry materials. The all - metal ½” self - ratcheting chuck ensures the bit stays firmly in place. For the impact driver, select the right speed from the 4 - speed power selections. The Assist Mode helps prevent screw cam - out and cross - threading, and the Tightening Modes are great for working with self - drilling screws in different gauges of metal. When not in use, store the tools in the provided tool bag. Keep the tools clean and dry. If they get dirty, use a dry cloth to wipe them. Don't expose the tools to extreme temperatures or harsh chemicals. Regularly check the batteries for any signs of damage. If you notice any issues, stop using the tools immediately and contact Makita's customer service.
