Product Description

The Greenlee 730BB-2 is a top - notch standard round metal punch unit. It comes as a complete set with a punch, a die, and a draw stud. You can use it with battery - powered, hydraulic, ratchet, or manual drivers. When properly assembled through pilot holes, it creates clean, quick, and precise holes. The hole size is 2 inches (50.8 mm). The punch unit includes a 1756AV punch, a 35161 die, and a 304AVBB draw stud. This punch unit has a capacity for mild steel up to 10 gauge (3.5 mm). It's suitable for punching mild steel, aluminum, fiberglass, and plastic. For operation, you can choose from battery - powered, hydraulic, ratchet, or manual drivers. If you use battery - powered, hydraulic, or ratchet drivers, you only need to buy the punch and die as the draw stud is part of the driver kit. Hole sizes are available in different standards. Conduit sizes are based on the outside diameter of US conduit sizes, like a 1/2 - inch conduit size punch making a 7/8 - inch hole. There are also Pg sizes for European standard pipes and ISO sizes for international standard pipes.

Using this Greenlee punch unit is easy. First, select the right driver for your needs - it can be battery - powered, hydraulic, ratchet, or manual. If you're using a battery - powered, hydraulic, or ratchet driver, you don't need to worry about the draw stud as it's part of the driver kit. Properly assemble the punch unit through the pilot holes before you start punching. This will ensure you get clean, fast, and accurate holes. When choosing a material to punch, keep in mind that it can handle mild steel up to 10 gauge (3.5 mm), as well as aluminum, fiberglass, and plastic. Make sure to check the hole sizes carefully according to your project requirements. For maintenance, after each use, clean the punch, die, and draw stud to remove any debris. Store them in a dry place to prevent rusting. This way, your punch unit will last a long time and keep performing well.
