Product Description
Lasers play a crucial role in the early phases of construction, and measurement needs vary according to specific applications. The Makita 12V max CXT® Lithium-Ion self-leveling cross-line/4-point red beam laser (SK106DNAX) offers a cordless solution for horizontal/vertical cross reference lines and 4-point functionality, perfect for leveling, aligning, plumbing, and squaring tasks. Depending on the ambient light in the work area, the SK106DNAX has a line visibility range of up to 82 feet and can be detected up to 262 feet with a Makita laser detector (sold separately). It features a bright 635 nm class II red laser with an accuracy of +/- 1/8 inch at 33 feet, setting the industry standard. The laser line fan length extends beyond the 90-degree position, providing 180-degree horizontal and 160-degree vertical lines for comprehensive reference line coverage. For enhanced efficiency, it achieves self-leveling line stability in just 3 seconds, boosting productivity. All 12V max CXT® cordless tools are compatible with the 12V max CXT® Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah battery (BL1041B) for longer run time. These batteries come with a protection circuit to prevent overloading, over-discharging, and over-heating. The SK106DNAX is part of the expanding 12V max CXT® series, which combines high performance with excellent ergonomics in a compact design.

Using the Makita SK106DNAX is a breeze. First, insert the 12V max CXT® Lithium-Ion battery into the laser. Turn it on, and it will automatically start self-leveling within about 3 seconds. You can select the horizontal/vertical cross reference lines or the 4-point functionality according to your needs. When working, make sure the ambient light isn't too bright, as it can affect the line visibility range. If you need to work over a longer distance, use the Makita laser detector (sold separately).
Here are some important things to keep in mind. Don't operate the laser on slopes greater than 4º, as the self-leveling function won't work properly. When transporting or storing the laser, use the integrated pendulum lock to protect the laser diode. Also, since it has an IP 54 rating, it's dust and water resistant, but try to avoid exposing it to excessive dust or water for a long time.
For maintenance, keep the laser clean. You can use a soft cloth to wipe the housing and the laser windows. Check the battery regularly. If the battery starts to show signs of overheating, overloading, or over-discharging, stop using it immediately and replace it with a new one. That way, your Makita SK106DNAX will keep working great for a long time.
