Using your MasterLock 5KAX2545 padlock is easy. First, make sure the shackle is in the unlocked position. Then, place the shackle through the hasp or whatever you want to secure and snap it shut. Insert one of the two keys provided into the keyhole and turn it to lock or unlock the padlock. Remember, all keyed - alike locks in this series can be opened with the same key. As for maintenance, keep the padlock dry to prevent rust. You can use a little graphite powder to lubricate the keyhole if the key starts to turn stiffly. Avoid using oil as it can attract dirt and debris. Also, don't try to rekey the padlock yourself as it's non - rekeyable. If you have any issues, contact MasterLock's customer service.
