Product Description

Round standard metal punch units are all - in - one sets including a punch, a die, and a draw stud. They're super versatile and can be used with battery - powered, hydraulic, ratchet, or manual drivers. When properly assembled through pilot holes, they create clean, quick, and precise holes. The hole size is 13/16 inches (20.6 mm). The punch unit comprises a 1745AV punch, a 1744AV die, and a 00042 draw stud. The capacity of this punch can handle mild steel up to 10 gauge (3.5 mm). It's suitable for punching mild steel, aluminum, fiberglass, and plastic. You can operate it with different types of drivers. When using battery - powered, hydraulic, or ratchet drivers, you only need to buy the punch and die as the draw stud comes with the driver kit. The hole sizes are related to conduit sizes (outside diameter of US conduit sizes, e.g., a 1/2 - inch conduit size punch makes a 7/8 - inch hole), Pg sizes (European standard pipe sizes), and ISO sizes (International Standards Organization pipe sizes).

Using this Greenlee punch is easy. First, pick the right driver according to your needs - it can be battery - powered, hydraulic, ratchet, or manual. When using battery - powered, hydraulic, or ratchet drivers, just make sure you don't need to buy the draw stud separately as it's in the driver kit. Assemble the punch, die, and draw stud properly through the pilot holes on the material. Then start the driver and the punch will make a clean and accurate hole. Remember, this punch can handle mild steel up to 10 gauge (3.5 mm), so don't try to punch much thicker materials. It's great for mild steel, aluminum, fiberglass, and plastic. For maintenance, after each use, clean the punch, die, and draw stud to remove any debris. You can use a soft cloth and some light oil to keep them in good condition. Also, store them in a dry place to prevent rusting.
