Using the Greenlee 645-7/8 hole cutter is easy. First, make sure you have the 645-011 arbor (sold separately) and a chuck with a minimum size of 3/8 inch (9.5 mm). Then, choose the right cutter head size for your job from the available options ranging from 5/8 inch to 3 inches. Install the cutter head on the arbor using the Quick Change feature with a simple push and turn. When drilling, the flange stop will prevent over-drilling, so you can drill with confidence. For sizes above 3/4 inch, the ejector spring will help you remove the slug easily. Remember, the replaceable pilot drill has a split-point tip to stop it from walking. As for maintenance, keep the cutter clean after use. If the carbide teeth start to wear out, it might be time to replace the cutter head. Also, store the tool in a dry place to prevent rusting and keep it in good condition for your next project.
